Support For Sithandiwe Disabled Care

Youth with disabilities are amongst the most marginalized and poorest of all the world’s youth. They commonly face more discrimination and sever social, economic and civic disparities as compared with those without disabilities, especially in developing countries such as South Africa.

In 2017, we adopted the Sithandiwe youth Disabled Care Centre that is based in Lombardy, south of Alexander.

Our program aimed to ensure that the need of youth with disabilities were addressed in various substantive ways. We would visit the Centre every second month to offer our support and give them food, toys and also to ascertain what other necessities they need to run the centre. Thandi Ndlovu, the founder of Sithandiwe Disabled Care Centre established the centre based on her experience as living with disability.
